Dear Patron of the Arts,

Would you like to meet famous authors?

The 10th Annual Dahlonega Literary Festival will be held March 8th and 9th, 2014, at the Community House and St. Luke’s, and will include panel discussions, presentations, and book signings.  All of these events are free.

The Dahlonega Literary Festival is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization   Ours is an intimate festival about books and authors.  Our mission is to promote interaction between readers and writers in a relaxed, informal environment so those attending have an opportunity to meet and interact with the authors.  In addition to attending speaking events and book signings, attendees have the opportunity to have lunch with their favorite authors at a local restaurant or attend our dinner extravaganza on Saturday.

Our 2014 Author Selection Committee has scheduled the following authors for our next event: Terry Kay, Joshilyn Jackson, Cassandra King, Deanna Raybourn, and many more. We hope you will come to see your favorite authors and meet others you may be unfamiliar with.

As you can imagine, festival expenses add up quickly, and we need your financial support to make our event a success. Your tax-deductible contribution will help with fees, travel expenses and lodging for the authors, and aids in ensuring most festival events remain free-of-charge.  As a patron, you will receive the benefits listed on the enclosed Patron Response Form.  Most importantly, you will have the satisfaction of knowing you have preserved and advanced the literary arts in Dahlonega.

We would appreciate the return of the Patron Response Form and your contribution. If you have questions, please contact any of us at the email addresses listed below.

Thank you, in advance, for your support.  We look forward to seeing you in March!

Sincerely,

Arienne Wallace Rumsch (ariennewallace@windstream.net), Sharon Bacek (sgbacek@america.net), Carol Malcolm (cmalcolm@windstream.net), Ken Smoke (kensmoke369@hotmail.com), April Loebick (aprilnloebick@gmail.com), Sharon Kridel (skridel@windstream.net)

Dahlonega Literary Festival

The Dahlonega Literary Festival is an annual celebration of books. The next festival will take place March 8-9, 2014. Situated in Historic Downtown Dahlonega,  the festival continues to grow and become more and more entertaining as the years go on. We promise that it will delight anyone who is a lover of books and reading.  All festival events are free and open to the public unless otherwise noted.

Each year the festival presents a slate of invited authors representing a variety of genres sharing their ideas and experiences in various programs. In addition, a number of regional authors (ranging from local to other areas of the Southeast) have the opportunity to purchase a table to both interact with festival attendees and sell their books.

We are a festival of books, not just a festival with books
