Did you know that The StinkyKids, creation of festival author Britt Menzies,  is also an Off Broadway Musical? Starring Kari Grunberg, Ryan Mikita, Lora Nicolas, AJ Patton, Bryce Payne and Madison Turner, StinkyKids the Musical runs from March 10 to May 26, 2012.

Carole Marsh to Present

We are happy to announce that Carole Marsh will be attending the Dahlonega Literary Festival and participating in our children’s events. Carole is the author of the Carole Marsh Mysteries.

“Carole Marsh is a highly-entrepreneurial writer, CEO of Gallopade International, creator of Carole Marsh Mysteries and hundreds of other series, and author of thousands of books, winner of numerous awards, and a Georgia Author of the Year. “These days, I’m most interested in writing for what I call “Twixt, Tween, and YA,” which to me, like “gifted kids” are ALL kids! I love to write for them and hear from them. I am also writing adult fiction and non-fiction, short stories, and poetry. Attention Local and Regional Authors!

Hey Authors! Would you like to purchase a table at the festival, to sell and promote your work?

For a fee of $35, participants will have the use of a table in an indoor location to promote and sell their work for the weekend, 9:00 – 5:00 p.m. on Saturday and 1:30 – 4:00 p.m. on Sunday (times approximate).

If you would like to apply for this option, please contact Ken Smoke at ken_smoke421@yahoo.com to make arrangements for sending a copy of your book for review. The festival strives to maintain a balance of genres, and space is limited. If you are accepted for this year’s event, you will then be asked to send payment to secure your spot.

More Authors!

This year’s festival is shaping to to be a wonderful event with more and more authors signing up to attend. The newest authors added to our festival are  Cindy Woodsmall, Jackie Cooper, & Barbara Brown Taylor. Also attending are Lora Mirza and Paul Hudson, authors of Atlanta’s Stone Mountain: A Multicultural History. Joining Lora and Paul is Dr. George D. N. Coletti, who provided guidence for their book, as well as author of STONE MOUNTAIN: The Granite Sentinel. Also, returning to this year’s festival are  Mark Braught and Laura Knorr. We are also proud to announce that Britt Menzies, creator of The Stinky Kids, will be at the Dahlonega Literary Festival this year doing exciting things for our children’s programs!
